The course fee does not include the licence fee. The licence application fee of £190 is payable directly to the SIA when applying for the licence - which is valid for three years.

The SIA Licence is only valid in the UK. You will not be able to use the SIA Licence for work in any other country.

You can apply for your SIA licence as soon as you pass your exams and receive your results.

Our professional trainers will prepare you to pass the exams. Most people pass it first time. However, if you fail it don’t worry, you can do a retake.

We hate cancelling a course. However, this can happen due to reasons outside our control. If a course is cancelled, we can offer you an alternative date. If that date is not suitable for you, we can offer an instant refund.

To become a Security Officer/Guard, you need to take the Security Guard training course and then apply for SIA license. However, you need to take a first aid training course before you start your training course.

It is a regulatory requirement to do an identity check for all security-related qualifications. Therefore candidates who are attending Licence linked course are requested to provide the following upon arrival; Two passport-size photos Original passport of any nationality or UK photo Drivers Licence Two forms of address proof (originals) Please see the joining instructions as a range of other documents can be accepted. Yes. the Door Supervisor course includes some distance learning which you must complete before you attend the classroom training.

No, you do not need it because your details are passed onto the SIA when you pass the course.

You book and pay using your credit card or debit card securely online or over the phone. You can also pay via bank transfer. Please contact us if you would like to make the payment via bank transfer.

You must be 18 or over to hold one of the above licences.

With a Door Supervisor licence, you can work at premises where alcohol is served such as clubs, pubs, events and etc whereas with a Security Officer/Guard licence, you can work at environments such as warehouses, retail stores, offices and etc. where alcohol is not served and consumed, and that require monitoring or patrolling.

The Door Supervisor Course takes 6 days to complete. The training course is assessed by 4 multiple choice exams and a practical assessment while the Security Guard course runs over 4 days at the end of which you will be required to take three exams. Our professional and expert trainers will fully prepare you for the exam to successfully pass them.

This is now a legal requirement to working in the security industry, because Top-Up Training covers new risks and Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) knowledge.

Yes. Before attending the Door Supervisor Top Up training course, you must have a valid Emergency First Aid qualification. If you have Emergency First Aid at Work or higher qualifications, you must ensure it is valid at least for 12 months. If you are unsure, please contact our booking team.

The security guard top-up training will be assessed by 2 exams (security guarding knowledge and terror threat awareness). The door supervisor top-up training will be assessed by 3 exams (door supervisor knowledge, terror threat awareness and physical intervention knowledge) plus a practical physical intervention assessment.

You can renew your licence 4 months before your existing licence expires.

Yes, your training provider will accept your existing qualification if it is still valid for a minimum of a year. It must also be on our list of acceptable first aid qualifications.

It is a requirement of the SIA, Ofqual and SIA training Awarding Organizations that learners who take the course have a basic knowledge of the English language which includes the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. It is ‘very’ important that you are able to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language for the following reasons: 1. All assessments are conducted in the medium of English. 2. As part of the course requirements, on day 1 of the course you are required to complete a (pass/fail) hand written evidential statement based on an example situation provided by your course tutor that must include the following: – The author of the report (I am) – The date of the report (on) – Where the incident happened (at) – The time of the incident (time it happened) – What you saw/did (I was/I saw/ I did) – Signature of the report author. Whilst there is no stipulation on the number of words that are required, candidates are expected to write between 150 and 300 words.
